
Dear Colleagues,
The Organizing Committee of the International scientific conference «Problems of ontolinguistics — 2025: trends and perspectives» is pleased to invite you to take part in this event. The Conference is organized by the Ontolinguistic Research Laboratory (The Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia) and by the Department of the Theory of Grammar (Institute for Linguistic Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences).
The Conference will be held March 04–06, 2025, online.
We suggest the following issues for discussion:
- The phonetic development of a child: sequential vs. phased formation of the sound system
- The formation of the morphological component of the language system: schemata, rules or lexically based development
- The emergence of syntax: universal and language-specific features
- Acquisition of the lexical system: children’s active and passive vocabulary
- The language worldview of monolinguals and bilinguals: common and different features
- The particularities of speech development of bilingual children
- Children's word formation: general and individual features
- Psycholinguistic aspects of reading and writing in ontogenesis
- Children’s metalanguage activity and language reflection
- Language environment of a child and speech development
Absentee participation is not provided. The conference’s working languages are Russian and English.
Applications for participation and abstracts (not less than 1000 and not more than 1500 characters including spaces), that are necessary for the decision on the participation in the conference and will not be published, will be accepted until January 20, 2025.
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to select presentations based on their relevance to the conference theme. The abstracts will be double-blind peer reviewed. The authors will be notified about the decision of the Organizing Committee by January 30, 2025.
Speakers will be able (if desired) to publish their articles sized 4-6 pages in the electronic digest (indexed in the RSCI). The decision upon the publication will be made after the presentation on the conference and external peer review. Articles are accepted until March 01, 2025.
All presenters will get the certificate of attendance.
